Living by Faith

Sin isn’t just about a list of do’s and don’ts. Sin comes from a heart that doesn’t fully trust God.
If we’re not sure about doing something, it’s better not to do it—because when we go against what we believe is right, it becomes sin for us.
We shouldn’t force our personal beliefs on others. That only leads to pride and division, and that’s what the enemy wants.
We need to show grace to one another. If we believe something is wrong, then for us, it is. But we shouldn’t judge others who see things differently. Nothing done out of love and faith is sin.
Sin starts with unbelief—when we look for happiness or comfort in something more than in God.
Faith means trusting that God is working in our lives and doing what’s best for us, even when it doesn’t feel that way. The Bible says, “Without faith it is impossible to please God.” Every sin begins with not believing or trusting Him.
Whether it’s eating, drinking, or anything else—if it hurts us or causes someone else to stumble, it becomes sin. We should do everything with faith and love, keeping our eyes on God.
