Using our spiritual gifts

Whatever gift God has blessed us with is meant to magnify Him and help others see Him. We may experience blessings as we use it, but its true purpose is not for our own edification. It is not so people can see us, but so they can see Him and His power working through us.

Let us ask the Spirit for wisdom to recognize our gift(s). Let us not be distracted by how God has distributed them among His children, but instead focus on our own assignments and on our Father’s business. For we do not know the hour when we will be called into account for that faithful “pop quiz” at life’s end. May we be found worthy to hear the words: “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
